MediEvil II was released by Sony on April 30th, 2000, almost two years after the release of the first MediEvil title. MediEvil II takes a new spin on the MediEvil series and changes the way the gameplay works. Infact, the game adds many new elements that make this title completely different from the first one. In this game, Sir Dan, wakes up in a totally different era. An evil magician is trying to take over the world by creating an army of undeads. Sir Dan decides that it's his job to stop this from happening.

MediEvil II starts off as a game which looks and feels similar to the first title, however, after a few minutes of being in the game you realise that it is an entirely different animal. This time, Sir Dan picks up two sidekicks who shall help him on his mission. Also, you can play as Sir Dan's head or as Sir Dan himself during certain parts, this adds a new aspect to the already varied gameplay in this title.

MediEvil II shall not fail to surprise you especially if you've played the first one. The game has changed a lot and yet retains what was good from the first part. Definitely a must try title!

Ofcourse, Aya's your regular kick-ass video game gal who can use rifles, shotguns, bombs, etc. to ward off would-be offenders. And when the danger is grave, she can also call upon her own Mitochondrial abilities to kick some serious butt!

You'll fight various creatures throughout the game and shall be rated on your performance. Depending on your performance you may get any one of the multiple endings in the title. A classic Playstation title released in September 2000,Parasite Eve II is a must play title for anyone who enjoyed the first edition of this series.. or anyone with a fetish for Aya Brea :P

The game that started it all, EA's original Need For Speed. This game was a port from the 3D0 version of Need For Speed with some new additions such as split screen racing and some physics modifications to give the game a more realistic feel.

The game features some of the best cars anyone could have envisioned in the 1990's. You've got the Ferrari Testarossa, Lamborghini Diablo, Porsche 959, Dodge Viper, Chevy Corvette, Mazda RX7, Toyota Supra and Acura NSX. A very good selection of cars with six exciting tracks to race on.

Ofcourse, you should never make the mistake of comparing this title to current generation racing games. The graphics are not really pretty by any standards, even for the time this game was released in. What made this game and the next one in the NFS series a killer title was the realistic physics handling which added a real 'racing' feel to the entire game, apart from the excellent selection of cars, that is : ).

However, it's truly a pleasure to see where it all started with the original 'The Need For Speed', a pretty rare title these days and an excellent upload by Mushindo.

There are lots of games which in this day and age are really hard to find. Every week, we shall select two of these titles and put them up on EP as part of the 'Best of Emuparadise' feature. Mortal Kombat II (J) was uploaded to our servers by none other than our veteran (retro) forum administrator Cosmic. Three cheers for him for this wonderful first contribution to the Best of Emuparadise feature. :)

MK II for the PSX was released only in Japan. The game itself is so rare that you would be hard pressed to find plausible references to it even on reputed (and vast..) gaming websites.

It is basically a cross between MKII for the SNES and the arcade versions of the title. Ofcourse, taking full advantage of the Playstation's capabilities the game does indeed deliver a decent package. Taking into account the fact that the game was released on 8th of August 1996, you should bear in mind what to expect from a 10 year old title : ).

If you consider yourself a fighting genre fan worth some salt, we'd like to say that you should definitely add this title to your collection. Plus, it's a small download ; ).

Dino Crisis was released by Capcom on August 31, 1999. Capcom are also the makers of the Resident Evil series, thus, similarities between Dino Crisis and Resident Evil were bound to occur. However, while following similar control schemes and using a similar rendering engine, Dino Crisis stands out as a title that can hold it's own.

Raw instinct takes over in this new adrenaline-pumping journey into Survival Horror. Something is terribly wrong. Your covert mission to infiltrate an isolated, research compound, has gone haywire.. now you find yourself pursued by a relentless pre-historic terror. The game is basically a horror survival game same as the Resident Evil series. The eerie soundtrack really packs a punch and a simple journey down a corridor can make your skin tingle. The best way to play is with the lights off, and the volume up, that is, if you can handle it.

Dino Crisis is an amazing adventure in the Jurassic. Enjoy your foray into the pre-historic with this wonderful title from Capcom.

Bloody Roar II basically is the same game as Bloody Roar with some changed characters and new game modes. The main flaw with Bloody Roar II is the fact that you cannot easily execute the Beast mode which made Bloody Roar so original. Instead of capitalizing on their originality it seems like the developers underestimated the importance of this feature inBloody Roar. You can add your sidestep (Beast) in custom mode within Bloody Roar II, however, that makes short work of what could've been a great title.

Nevertheless, the graphics and sound in Bloody Roar II do not fail to please. The visual effects shall definitely keep you agape. The game follows smooth 60 fps action which shall keep you busy with the fast paced action that follows from this. All in all, if you enjoyedBloody Roar you can check this one out for the new characters and some of the new moves that make their way into this title. Also, there is of course more background from the story fromBloody Roar I as well as new elements added to the story-line.

Bloody Roar was one of the most original fighting titles to hit the Sony Playstation. It took a totally new approach to the fighting genre with it's Beast System. Basically, what happens is that as you are playing, there's a meter called the Beast Meter which fills up. The moment this gauge is full, you can transform into a more powerful form. What this entails is faster, more powerful moves which in the end makes the game fairly dramatic and entertaining. In Beast Mode, Alice turns into a killer rabbit, Fox turns into a fox and Greg turns into a giant gorilla.

The games graphics are brilliant and some of the special effects will definitely leave you dazzled. This title moves as smooth as it's arcade counterpart (Beastorizer). All in all, this game is definitely a good title for fighting fans to pick up!
